State Rep.Jason Dawkins, on 5/25/16 introduced House Bill No. 2135 ( “Par ole Eligibilit y Expa n sion for Life Sen ten ces” ) in the PA General Assembly. According to Rep. Dawkins, his legislation: “[P]ermits an individual sentenced to life imprisonment under the laws of the Commonwealth to be released on parole after spending at least 15 years in prison.
